There was plenty of Fourth of July spirit in the Monadnock region this weekend with fireworks celebrations three nights in a row. Between our guests and ourselves, we had representation at each celebration! To kick off the weekend, on Friday night, July 3rd, the town of Hancock featured a reading of the Declaration of Independence by local children, live music, and of course, fireworks. On Saturday, the town of Dublin celebrated with fireworks over Dublin Lake. And on Sunday, Peterborough’s celebration included food (sponsored by local nonprofits), live music (by Dave and the Daddy O’s), and some really nice fireworks! The weather was perfect (a little chilly, but not too bad) and clear skies made for a great show! It was just what we needed after all the rain we had in June.
